We envision to start with underserved youth, ages 5 to 12, initiating an outdoor Summer Camp Program to launch in 2024 to include an extended annual outreach program on a monthly basis to keep our youth engaged. Our goals are to instill in our children, structure, strong values, and purpose at a young age. We want to teach them the knowledge of self, their culture, heritage, and to introduce our great historical giants who have made valuable contributions to society around the globe. Our purpose is to help our children explore their innate gifts and talents, and begin to nurture them to develop their full potential with the proper exposure to the necessary tools to achieve self-determination and pride to become productive citizens in the real world.

Our three-year program will identify the most vulnerable children and develop care plans for them, providing exposure to nature; an understanding of their world through the study of geography and the cultures to interface with all people around the world; financial literacy; bridge the digital divide; vocational and entrepreneurship programs; the arts; field trips at home and abroad to explore industries to understand how things are made and operate that will help prepare them to make great contributions to society as the future caretakers of the earth.

Challenge

Underserved and low-income communities lack the resources and financial ability to reach their highest goals and potential. Statistics and studies reveal the vast disparities in these communities that are compounded with major road blocks; mainly lack of funding and investments that perpetuates generational poverty, crime and lack of motivation to excel in the limited educational environment that does not reflect their realities. Forming the proper collaborations and a sincere invested interest to address this ongoing crisis is key to creating a better future for our youth.
